NEET PG 2025 Cutoff: The NEET PG 2025 cutoff marks were released along with the results on 19 August 2025 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. The cutoff marks are the minimum scores required to qualify for the next round of admission counselling and vary by category. For General and EWS categories, the cutoff is 276 marks (50th percentile). For General PwBD (persons with benchmark disabilities), the cutoff is 255 marks (45th percentile). For SC, ST, and OBC categories, including their PwBD counterparts, the cutoff is 235 marks (40th percentile). These cutoffs are determined based on factors like the number of candidates, exam difficulty, and seat availability. Over 1.2 lakh candidates qualified for counselling this year. The scorecards will be available for download from 29 August 2025. Counselling for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and PG Diploma courses will follow, with dates to be announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The NEET PG cutoff represents the lowest score a candidate needs to be fit and qualified for admission to postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, and diploma programs. Consequently, it plays an important role in the determination of eligibility for counselling and seat allotment.
The cutoff changes for different categories, such as General, OBC, SC, and ST and is influenced by the number of candidates, difficulty level of the examination, and availability of seats. The official cutoff is determined by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) every year based on such variables. Therefore, candidates need to know about the NEET PG cutoff since this will give them a particular goal to be reached during the examination.
