NIT Meghalaya Courses Offered
NIT Meghalaya has a wide range of courses at Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral (PhD) levels in the fields of Engineering, Science, and Humanities. Post-doctoral fellowships in certain areas are also available in the institute. Such programs are designed to provide quality education, innovate and equip students to work in the industry and research.
NIT Meghalaya Courses
B.Tech is one of the most sought-after undergraduate programs in NIT Meghalaya. Different specializations of PG courses, in M.Tech and M.Sc, are offered NITM. PhD programs are available in all areas of Engineering, Basic Sciences and Humanities, and Social Sciences. The total duration of UG course is 4 years, and most of the PG programs are 2 years, and the PhD programs are usually 5 to 6 years.
These courses are admitted based on a national-level entrance examination like JEE Main (B.Tech), GATE (M.Tech), IIT JAM (M.Sc), and a written examination/interview (PhD).
JoSAA counseling does not have any registration fee. Students are, however, expected to pay a registration fee for CCMT counselling. In the case of General/Gen-EWS/OBC, the registration fee at CCMT is INR 3500, and for SC/ST/PwD, the registration fee is INR 3000.

The B.Tech program at NIT Meghalaya is offered in five major branches: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Civil Engineering (CE). Students are admitted through JEE Main, followed by JoSAA counselling.
NIT Meghalaya PG Courses
NIT Meghalaya offers M.Tech program is offered in five core branches. Admission is based on the GATE score and CCMT counselling. M.Sc. programs in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics admit students through JAM and CCMN counselling. Vacant PG seats may be filled via institute-level tests.
