CAT 2025
MDI Gurgaon is ranked as one of the top business schools in India and admits students to its management programs based on the CAT 2025 entrance exam scores. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a yearly national-level exam to which PGDM courses applications are made. CAT 2025 will be a computer-based test that checks a student's skills in three main areas: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. The CAT registration started on August 1, 2025, and the last date for the application was September 13 (or extended till September 20), 2025. The admit cards were available from the beginning of November 2025, and the CAT exam was held on November 30, 2025. The CAT 2025 results are also out on December 24, 2025.

XAT 2026
MDI Gurgaon uses the XAT Score to have admission to the PGDM (postgraduate diploma in management) programs, as it is an official entrance test to study at one of India's leading management institutions, XLRI Jamshedpur, which conducts the XAT Test every year at the national level and is recognised nationwide by leading business schools in India, including MDI Gurgaon. Students who want to be accepted by MDI Gurgaon must pass this exam before the 1st week of January. The XAT is a comprehensive evaluation:

MAT 2026
Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon also accepts MAT (Management Aptitude Test) scores as one of the criteria for its PGDM admission in some of its programmes. MAT is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) and is held four times a year in February, May, September, and December in Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) modes.
For the 2026 session, the registration for the MAT entrance exams is open till 23 Feb 2026 (PBT) and 2 March 2026 (CBT). Meanwhile, the exam will be conducted on 1 March and 8 March 2026, respectively, for the PBT and CBT modes. MAT scores will be released in the first week of April 2026, after which they can be used for admission applications to the institutes that accept MAT scores. GMAT 2026
A valid GMAT score can be used by candidates seeking admission to Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon in management programmes, mainly for NRI/International applicants or certain executive courses, along with the other entrance exams like CAT and XAT. ATMA 2026
Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon accepts the national-level management entrance exam ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) for admission to the PGDM programme at some of the top institutes. ATMA is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to MBA, PGDM, MMS, and other courses in many Indian colleges.
The important dates for the 2026 February session are: commencement of registration on 1 December 2025; the last date for registration and submission, 10 February 2026; last date of fee payment, 9 February 2026; the admit card will be released on 18 February 2026; and the date of the exam is 22 February 2026, which is usually scheduled in the afternoon. CMAT 2026
Management Development Institute Gurgaon takes Common Management Admission Test scores as a parameter for selection in some of the PGDM courses. CMAT is a management entrance exam that is conducted on a national level by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and enables students to get admissions in over 1,000 AICTE-approved colleges in India.
For CMAT 2026, the registration process for online applications began from 17 October 2025, and the final date for filling up the application form was 24 November 2025, with fee payments due around 25 November 2025. Later on, there will be a correction period from around 26-28 November 2025 for modifications to the application form. The admit card for CMAT 2026 will be released in January 2026, with the examination scheduled on 25th January 2026. The results will be declared in February 2026. GRE 2026
Management Development Institute Gurgaon accepts GRE scores for admissions into certain programmes, such as FPM/EFPM and other graduate management courses, especially in the case of foreign applicants or specific research-oriented courses. The GRE General Test is offered throughout the year, and candidates can choose their preferred test date at authorised centres or via the at-home option; test dates are available in January, February, March, April, May, and beyond in 2026, depending on centre availability.
For the purpose of planning your application, it must be remembered that an individual can take the GRE up to five times in a rolling 12-month period, and GRE scores are usually available about 8-10 days after your test date. GATE 2026
A Management Development Institute (MDI) is a premier management school in India, located in Gurgaon. For most full-time courses, such as the PGDM course at MDI Gurgaon and even other management courses, they only consider CAT scores for the selection process. Indian nationals cannot use GATE scores for applying to the PGDM course at any institute. However, GATE is extremely helpful if you will be pursuing any research-based courses like the FPM course at any institute. A high score in GATE can be quite helpful, along with other parameters.
For GATE 2026, the online process of applying began on 28th August 2025, and the normal process ended on 25th-28th September 2025. The GATE entrance exam has been scheduled to happen on the following dates: 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th of February 2026, and the result will be declared on 19th of March 2026. PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics
The PGDM, PGDM- HRM, PGDM- IB, and PGDM- Business Analytics programmes of MDI Gurgaon for the 2026-28 batch will be admitted through CAT 2025. Candidates should have at least 50% of marks or an equivalent CGPA in Class X and XII, and in their Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. A minimum 3-year bachelor's degree is required for most programmes, but PGDM and IB require a 4-year degree and at least 1 year of work experience. Qualified candidates must register online via the MDI portal during the specified dates.
Application Process
Step 1: The application form will be available online for all programmes at MDI Gurgaon (PGDM, PGDM- HRM, PGDM- IB, PGDM- Business Analytics). The form will be accessible on the MDI website: www.mdi.ac.in. All the requirements and directions will be given on the website.
Step 2: The online registration was available from September 2026, till November 2026, 5:00 PM.
Step 3: Applicants are required to pay an online application fee of INR 3000 (including 18% GST). By making this payment, candidates can apply to several programmes by choosing the courses in which they are interested.
Step 4: Those candidates who want to submit their applications at MDI Gurgaon should pay an application fee of INR 3,590 (including 18% GST).
Step 5: For NRI candidates applying to MDI Gurgaon, the application fee is INR 8,496 (including 18% GST).
Note: There is a single common application form for all programmes. Applicants must select the programmes they want to apply for when filling out the form.
MDI Gurgaon Selection Process & weightage
The details filled in the application form and the CAT 2025 scores will be the basis for shortlisting candidates.
The candidates, after getting short-listed, will be invited to participate in the Group Discussion, Written Analysis Test, and Personal Interview. These selection rounds will take place between February and April 2026.

Selection Process For NRI Aspirants
NRI applicants can apply based on their valid GMAT scores.
Short-listed candidates will be required to appear for personal interviews to be held in April 2026.
Admission to the course will be based on the Government of India rules. Determination of NRI Status will be as per the GOI rules.
Applicants should deposit an online application fee of INR 8,496, inclusive of 18% Goods & Services Tax, while making payment using a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.

The PGDM (Online) at MDI Gurgaon follows a process where applicants are to apply online. The PGDM-Business Management (PGDM-BM) course at MDI Gurgaon for the 2026 intake shortlists its candidates based on their performance in CAT 2025, GMAT, or XAT 2026 or information provided by them in their application form. The online form to apply for the PGDM-BM can be accessed through the MDI website www.mdi.ac.in.
The deadline for online registration is Monday, 10th June 2026, 5.00 PM.
The applicants must also pay an application fee that is INR 3,000 (including 18% GST).
The application fees to be paid by NRI candidates are INR 5,000 (including 18% GST).

Selection Process
Applicants are shortlisted based on the mentioned details on the application and CAT, XAT, or GMAT scores.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online Personal Interview.
Phase 1 interviews are scheduled tentatively for 18-19 April 2026, and Phase 2 interviews for 2021 June 2026.
A provisional admission offer will be given to the successful candidates in April or June 2026.
The selected candidates need to pay the first instalment of the fee by the deadline given; otherwise, their admission offer will be cancelled.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM-BA
The PGDM, Business Administration (PGDM-BA) programme at MDI Gurgaon for the 2026 batch is open to online applicants only through the MDI website. Eligible applicants are those who have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in Class X, XII, and in a 3-year Bachelor's degree. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience after graduation. An applicant must also have a valid score in one of the GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or CMAT. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online Personal Interview that will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 in May and Phase 2 in July 2026. The selected candidates will be given a provisional admission offer.

Selection Process
The shortlisting of applicants will depend on the information provided in their application forms and their valid GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or CMAT scores.
Personal Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted through the online mode.
The Phase 1 interviews will take place on 9 and 10 May 2026, and the Phase 2 interviews on 4 and 5 July 2026.
Provisional admission offers will be made to the successful candidates in May or July 2026.
Those who have been selected are required to pay the first instalment of the fee by the given time, failing which their admission offer will be revoked.
MDI Gurgaon PGDM-PPM
The PGDM-PPM at MDI Gurgaon is a management program crafted for individuals who have an interest in public policy. In the case of Sponsored Candidates, the application window opens on April 2026, and the last date for admission is July 2026. The application for Self-Sponsored Candidates should be submitted at the latest by July 2026. Personal Interviews will be held in late July, followed by an online orientation scheduled for August 2026, and regular classes commencing on September 2026.
This course is designed to enable students to manage the interface between traditional management and governance and the leadership requirements of the public and private sectors. Eligibility-wise, DoPT-sponsored applicants need to be Group 'A' officers who have completed five years of service and have at least three years left before retirement. Self-sponsored applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the marks and should have gained three years of executive work experience by April 2026. Besides this, they should also have a valid score from any of the nationally recognised exams like CAT, GMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, or CMAT.

Selection Process

On the day of the interview, the Zoom link will be shared for the interview. However, shortlisted applicants will be informed of these things in advance.

MDI Gurgaon FPM Admissions
The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) at MDI Gurgaon is a research-oriented programme at a doctoral level designed for individuals who are interested in research, teaching, and knowledge creation in the field of management. The programme is available in two modes, Residential and non-residential. The institute welcomes candidates having a strong academic background, appropriate qualifications, and a genuine research interest.
Applicants should fulfil the minimum academic criteria and submit the scores of nationally or internationally recognised tests such as CAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC, JRF, or GATE. The institute will shortlist candidates for interviews. Students pursuing Residential FPM are eligible for financial assistance, which includes a monthly scholarship, research grants, and fee waivers, upon achieving satisfactory progress.

Online Application Process
Step 1: Go to the MDI Gurgaon official website https://www.mdi.ac.in.
Step 2: Choose the programme for which candidates want to apply and read the instructions carefully.
Step 3: The online registration needs to be done from November 2026, to Saturday, 28 February 2026 (up to 5:00 PM).
Step 4: In the online application form, candidates need to fill in all the personal, academic, and work-related information correctly.
Step 5: Candidates can pay the application fee of INR 3000 (including 18% GST) via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Step 6: Before the final submission, verify all their details because candidates will not be allowed to make changes after the submission.
Selection Process for FPM
Candidates need to appear for at least one of the common entrance exams like CAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC JRF, and GATE.
It is necessary that the result is valid up until the final application date and that the result is supplied when making the application. The candidates with such scores will then be shortlisted.
On the basis of these scores, the department will shortlist the candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview that may be held online or offline at MDI Gurgaon in April/May 2026 (tentative).
Test Exemption:
Without test scores, candidates who have obtained a two-year full-time MBA/PGP degree within the last ten years from MDI, IIMs, XLRI, or FMS with a minimum of 6.0 CGPA (out of 10) or equivalent are eligible to apply.
The verification of the exemption will be done by presenting the complete grade sheets (both sides) of the respective candidate; thus, the side of the grade sheets must be uploaded.
Financial Assistance for FPM Residential Students
Residential FPM students can avail a monthly scholarship of INR 60,000.
For non-MBA students, the scholarship is given for a maximum of four years, while for MBA students, it is for a maximum of three years.
Besides, students will get an amount of INR 1,50,000 to meet research requirements such as fieldwork and books.
To support the presentation of research papers at academic conferences, a conference grant of INR 4,00,000 is available.
All financial support is subject to satisfactory academic progress in the programme.
Tuition rates, reading materials rates, student welfare rates, and library rates are all waived.
Accommodation in the hostel, if available, can be arranged by the respective institutes.
