It's important for candidates to prepare well for the ATMA Exam 2026 to secure a good score and improve their chances of admission into reputed management institutes. Thus, CollegeHai is here to help you with its effective preparation tips in a dos and don’t format:

Dos:

  • Learn about the exam pattern and syllabus before you start studying.

  • Go over the basics in all subjects, mainly math and grammar, to build a strong base.

  • Make a study plan like first cover all topics, then practice with sample papers, and finally revise regularly.

  • Solve previous years’ question papers and take mock tests to get faster and more accurate.

  • Prepare for each section separately, such as practice puzzles for reasoning, learn formulas for math, and read newspapers for English.

  • Make short notes of important formulas, tricks, and new words for quick review.

  • Use the last days before the exam for revision only and go over what you’ve already studied.

  • Practice managing your time while studying and during the actual test.

  • Take care of your health by eating well, taking breaks, and getting enough sleep.

  • Stay positive and confident, keep all your exam documents ready, and try to relax before the test.

Don’ts

  • Jump into preparation without knowing what topics will be tested or how the ATMA exam is structured.

  • Ignore your weak areas or skip the basics, thinking only tough questions matter.

  • Try to do everything at once or leave revision until the last minute.

  • Rely only on reading theory or skip practicing under timed conditions.

  • Focus only on your favorite section or neglect any part of the syllabus.

  • Wait until the end to make notes, or think you’ll remember everything without writing it down.

  • Start learning new topics right before the exam, as this can cause confusion.

  • Spend too long on one question or section, either in practice or on exam day.

  • Stay up late or skip meals, as this can affect your focus and energy.

  • Stress out, panic if you get stuck, or forget to bring the necessary documents to the exam centre.
