IIT Indore Placement Record 2023-24

The placement season at IIT Indore for 2023–24 was held in a hybrid format. It began in October 2023 and ended in June 2024 for full-time jobs, while internship recruitment took place between August and September 2023. The global economic slowdown affected hiring, with many companies freezing recruitment, which led to fewer selections.

However, IIT Indore managed to increase both the number of participating companies and total offers compared to the previous year. In total, more than 140 companies and 7 PSUs joined the recruitment drive. This year, IIT Indore also collaborated with other first-generation IITs and introduced a day-wise recruitment system starting from December 1, 2023.

IIT Indore Internship Report 2023-24

Internships give students important industry exposure before entering the corporate world. At IIT Indore, students take internships during their summer break after the 6th semester. The Training and Placement Cell helps them get top opportunities where they can use classroom learning in real situations.

This year, pre-final year students received internships with leading companies and reputed research institutions in India and abroad. The highest stipend offered was INR 3 lakhs per month. In total, 126 students secured internships with major multinational firms, showing the strength of IIT Indore’s placement efforts and the talent of its students. IIT Indore Placement Record 2022-23

The Training and Placement Cell handles all student placements at the institute. The placement season at IIT Indore was held in a hybrid format, starting in October 2022 and ending in May 2023 for full-time jobs. Internship placements took place earlier, between August and September 2022.

Due to the market crisis, fewer companies came for campus recruitment in 2022–23. Still, the institute managed to increase the number of offers compared to last year, with more than 80 companies and two PSUs participating.

Placements were conducted in two phases: Phase I began in October 2022, and Phase II started in January 2023. With more courses and specialisations being offered, the Placement Cell worked to ensure maximum student participation across all programs.

The IIT Indore Placement process is coordinated by the TPC by managing campus recruitment activities. The placement process involves Recruiter Appointment, Job Posting & Student Applications, Pre-Placement Talk & Assessment Interview and Final Selection.

Recruiter Engagement

The TPC invites companies to participate in campus placements. Recruiters can register on the placement portal by sharing details like job roles, eligibility and selection processes.

Job Posting & Student Applications

After the JAF is submitted and verified, the opportunity details are shared with eligible students via the placement portal. Interested students can apply online, and the Training and Placement Cell compiles all applications to provide a list of candidates to the recruiter.

Pre-Placement Talk & Assessment

Recruiters organise a Pre-Placement Talk to interact with students and explain to them about the jobs. The screening rounds are scheduled in coordination to ensure smooth execution.

Interview Slot Allocation

The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) assigns interview dates and times to companies. This scheduling is done by considering student preferences, the number of applicants, and other relevant factors to ensure a smooth and fair process for both recruiters and students.

Final Selection & Results

At the end of the interviews, selected students receive job offers through the placement office. The placement cell acts as a mediator to ensure clarity between recruiters and students.
