IIT Indore introduced the Bachelor of Design program under its School of Innovation and Design. It is a four-year undergraduate degree focused on creativity, interdisciplinary learning, and problem-solving. In the first year, all students study common foundation courses.
From the second year, they can choose a specialisation area, with more options likely to be added in the future. Starting from the third semester, each term includes core design courses, electives, and a project related to the chosen specialisation. By the end of the program, students complete seven specialisation courses and six projects of increasing complexity. The first batch will have 16 students.
