The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Indore launch its new Master of Arts (MA) English (Literature and Linguistics) programme in June 2025. This is a two-year postgraduate course that combines the study of literature and language with modern, practical areas. The Master of Science (MS) (Research) programme in Computer Science & Engineering is a two-year, research-focused Master’s course. In the first two semesters, students complete coursework, while the last two semesters are fully dedicated to thesis research.
IIT Indore Admission to the MS (Research), applicants must have a B.Tech/BE degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and a valid GATE score in CSE/IT. However, IIT graduates with a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 or above do not need a GATE score for admission. The Master of Science in Data Science and Management (MS-DSM), jointly offered by IIT Indore and IIM Indore. Students must apply online directly through the official IIT Indore website. Each applicant will get a unique application number. After submitting the online form, eligible candidates must bring a signed hard copy of the application along with:
State Bank Collect receipt
Recent photograph
Self-attested copies of certificates
Appendix I–IV forms (for SW/IS/DF applicants, plus last 3 months’ salary slip and Employer’s PAN card)
These documents should be submitted at the time of the Written Test/Interview. If applying to more than one department, a separate application must be filed for each.
International applicants can check Study in India (https://www.studyinindia.gov.in/) and IIT Indore’s academic page (https://academic.iiti.ac.in/) for details about PG/PhD programs. Any person who does not hold Indian citizenship will be treated as an international applicant for admission.

After applying online, send a signed hard copy of the application along with: Application fee receipt, Recent photograph, Self-attested certificates, Valid GATE/GRE and TOEFL scorecards (if applicable), and Statement of Purpose (SOP)
If applying to more than one department, fill out a separate application for each.
Selection Process: Shortlisted applicants will attend an interview (in-person or via video conference). SOP and Letter of Recommendation (LOR) must be submitted before the interview.
Scholarship: No specific scholarship is offered under this program.
Fee Waiver: Applicants admitted through the Study in India Cell may receive a fee waiver based on merit.
The Indian Institute of Technology Indore was set up by the Government of India in 2009. It has grown into a lively centre for high-quality research. The School of Humanities & Social Sciences at IIT Indore mainly works on multidisciplinary studies. It includes six subjects: Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology. IIT Indore is now inviting motivated students to apply for its PhD program in these areas of research.
