Overview Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati Admission

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati selects students through various national entrance tests for admission to its courses. For UG admission, B.Tech aspirants have to pass the JEE Advanced exam after clearing JEE Main and participate in JoSAA counselling for seat allocation. BDes candidates must clear the UCEED exam and BS admissions depend on the IISER Aptitude Test.

On the other hand, IIT Guwahati admissions for PG courses rely on GATE for M.Tech, CEED for M.Des and CAT for MBA candidates. In addition, those who want to pursue an M.Sc (Research) program require a valid GATE/NET JRF score.

After qualifying for the required entrance exam, the applicants are required to participate in the counselling process and proceed to further selection rounds including interviews or written tests based on the program.
