To curb malpractices in exams, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to implement Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and AI surveillance for its exam starting June 2025. However, this will not be implemented for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2025, which is scheduled to be held on 25th June 2025.
The application form for CSE was started on 22 January 2025, and the last date to apply was 11 February 2025. This year, it will be given by around 9.5 lakh candidates at around 80 centres across the country. The CSE exam consists of three rounds: the first is preliminary, second is mains, and the third is a personal interview. The final merit consists of marks from the mains and interview round.

What After The CSE 2025 Prelims?
After the exam, the candidates who are confident of clearing the cutoff should start preparing for the mains round. It consists of nine descriptive papers covering a wide variety of topics and subjects. CSE Mains requires a deep understanding of the topic and writing accuracy, which can only be achieved by daily practice, so they should revise and practice the mock tests daily. It is a very important part of the exam as it acquires maximum marks in the final merit prepared by the commission. If the candidate is qualified in the mains examination, then they will be called for the final interview round, after which the final merit list will be prepared. The final result of CSE 2025 is expected to be released in April 2026.
