TNEA Counselling Round 3 Provisional Results Out; Check Steps to Download

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has released the TNEA Counselling Round 3 provisional results on 21st August 2026 (today). Applicants who participated in the third and final round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling can check their allotted seats through the official website. Round 3 tentative allotment has been released for candidates with TNEA government general ranks between 18,037 and 46,080, with aggregate marks ranging from 135.5 to 77.500. The allotment was decided based on the candidates’ ranks, the choices they selected during counselling, and the seats available after the previous rounds.

Applicants need to confirm their seat by tomorrow, August 22, 2026. If any candidate fails to confirm, the allotment of their seat will be cancelled. The DoTE has released the provisional allotment for candidates who completed the Round 3 choice-filling process within the prescribed deadline. According to the official counselling schedule, candidates were allowed to enter their preferred colleges and courses from August 17 to August 19.

To download the TNEA Counselling Round 3 provisional results, candidates can follow the steps given below. 

Step 1: Visit the official website https://www.tneaonline.org/.

Step 2: Now, access the link given for TNEA 2026 Round 3 tentative seat allotment. 

Step 3: Complete the registration using the email ID and password. 

Step 4: Submit the credentials. 

Step 5: The tentative seat allotment will appear on the screen. 

Step 6: Download the seat allotment and save it for future reference.

TNEA Round 3 Tentative Allotment 2026 OUT; What Next?

Candidates who get a seat in the tentative allotment need to confirm the tentative allotment process by August 22, 2026, up to 5 PM. The board will open the confirmation window today and will remain available until tomorrow.

According to the allotment and preference, candidates can choose from the options available on the TNEA portal, which include accepting the allotted seat, accepting the seat while opting for upward movement, declining the allotment while opting for upward movement, or quitting the counselling process.

Applicants must carefully select their preferred option within the deadline, as failure to complete the confirmation process may affect their participation in the subsequent stages of counselling.
