The education board in Telangana has decided to change the last date for Class 8 students to register and pay the fee online for the NMMS exam for 2025-26. Students can now register and pay fees by October 18th, 2025.
The Telangana Board of Secondary Education, which issued the official notice, explained that the deadline was changed to ensure that more students can apply for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Exam. Schools will need to print the online applications, the nominal rolls (in 2 copies), the fee receipts, and submit those to the District Educational Officer by October 22, 2025.
The DEOs will then verify the documents and send them to the Director of Government Examinations, Telangana, in Hyderabad by October 24, 2025. This extension gives students and schools a little more time to complete the process of applying for the NMMS exam.
