The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is conducting its UG entrance exam for Agro Polytechnic pass-out students today, on 7 July 2025. This exam is held separately from the main OUAT UG entrance test, which was conducted earlier on 2 and 3 June 2025. The OUAT UG Results have already been announced on 4 July 2025 for Class 12 science students seeking admission into UG programs like B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Veterinary Science. 

The exam taking place today is mainly for candidates who have completed or are in the final year of the OUAT Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic course. It is an offline exam of two hours and includes 200 multiple-choice questions based on the Agro-Polytechnic syllabus. The exam is in English, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers, so students can attempt all questions without worry.

Important Tips for Students 

Here are some important tips to help you perform your best in the exam today:

  • Stay Calm and Confident: Do not feel nervous, but try to stay calm. Take deep breaths and focus on the questions.

  • Read Instructions Carefully: Before starting, carefully read all the instructions on the question paper and answer sheet.

  • Manage Your Time Wisely: You have 2 hours to answer 200 questions. Don’t spend too much time on difficult questions; instead, answer the easier ones first, then return to the tougher ones if time permits.

  • Attempt All Questions: There is no negative marking, so make sure to attempt every question, even if you have to guess.

  • Keep Your Admit Card and ID Ready: Make sure you have your admit card and a valid photo ID with you to avoid any last-minute issues.

  • Stay Focused: Avoid distractions and concentrate fully on the exam. If you feel stuck, move on and come back later.

  • Check Your Answers: Quickly review your answers before submitting your paper, if you have enough time on your hands.

  • Follow Exam Guidelines: Listen properly to the invigilators and follow all exam hall guidelines.

About OUAT UG Agro Polytechnic Passout Exam 2025

The OUAT UG Agro Polytechnic Passout Exam 2025 is a special entrance test organised by the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) for students who have completed or are in the final year of the Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic course at OUAT. Both pass-out and continuing 2nd-year diploma students are eligible to apply. The selection process considers marks from 10th grade (10%), +2 Science (10%), the diploma (30%), and the entrance exam itself (50%), with tie-breakers based on exam marks, diploma marks, 12th class marks, 10th class marks, and age.   

What’s After the Exam?

After the OUAT UG Agro Polytechnic Passout Exam held today on 7 July 2025, candidates can expect the following important steps:

  • Submission of Form B: After the exam is done, all candidates must fill out and submit Form B online starting from 15 July 2025 and until 20 July 2025. This step is compulsory and includes entering their marks from the 10th, +2 Science, and their diploma.  

  • Declaration of Weightage and Rank: OUAT will release the weightage and rank list for the exam on 25 July 2025. The candidate's rank is calculated based on their 10th marks (10%), +2 Science marks (10%), diploma marks (30%), and entrance exam score (50%).

  • Download Intimation-cum-Rank Card: Next, they can download their intimation-cum-rank card online from 31 July 2025. This document will be needed for counselling.

  • Counselling and Admission: Counselling for UG admissions will take place on 13 August 2025. During counselling, they will need to bring their scorecard, rank card, original certificates (10th, 12th, diploma), photo ID, and other required documents for verification. Then, they will choose their course and college based on their rank and seat availability.

  • Orientation and Classes: Lastly, the orientation programme and the start of classes are scheduled for 18 August 2025.
