Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) has announced its permanent campus location, which is seen as the academic expansion of the university. The University is soon going to establish its foundations or main university campus in Goregaon, which is near Versova Metro Station in Mumbai.
Over the last 10 years, the university has been regulating its operations from a government-leased building. The newly acquired 35 acres of land for the campus project is said to have been allocated 2 years ago from now.
The campus foundation ceremony is to be held this week, witnessing the Chief Justice of India, Justice BR Gavai, and the university’s vice-chancellor over the event. The officials mentioned that buying land within the city and its procedural barriers caused so much delay in further progress.
MNLU Among Students' Top Preferred Universities
The MNLU university has now set up its position in students one of the top five universities
preference lists from the past few years. The university officials also said that, “ The campus project will be completed within three to four years from now”.
Furthermore, the university has also faced the court regarding a complaint letter filed by the Activist Zoru Bhatena, considering some issues of interest of the university. For this new project, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be attending the Initiation ceremony of the campus on Wednesday.
