The University of Madras has officially announced the results for the April 2025 undergraduate examinations for the fifth and sixth semesters. Students from the fifth and sixth semesters can download their results from the University’s official portal. Once the candidates download their results, they must check if all the details, such as their name, roll number, marks, and result status, are given or not.
Madras University follows a semester system for its undergraduate (UG) programs, dividing the academic year into two main semesters. The first, third, and fifth semesters are odd. Whereas the second, fourth, and sixth semesters are even. Additionally, the results for the (V and VI ) semesters were announced just recently. Students who have successfully passed the exams can collect their original marksheets from their respective colleges. However, if candidates are not satisfied with their marks, they can apply for revaluation following the University's guidelines.

Step 1: Visit the official website: www.unom.ac.in
Step 2: Once the website opens up, candidates must go to the ‘Examination’ section on the homepage.
Step 3: Then, the candidates must click on the ‘Results’ Tab.
Step 4: A new page opens up, and the candidate must choose their semester (V or VI semester).
Step 5: Once the link opens, candidates must enter the hall ticket number and other details.
Step 6: Click Submit to view your result.
Step 7: Students must download their results for future reference.
What Happens Next?
Now that the results are out, those students who have passed in the sixth semester can apply for postgraduate admissions. They can also begin the process to get their TC, conduct certificate, provisional certificate, and even start preparing for competitive exams or job interviews. Whereas, students who have passed the fifth semester can start preparing for their sixth semester.
