JoSAA Counselling 2025: IITs have Announced the Orientation and Commencement of Classes

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have officially announced the dates for the orientation programs and the start dates of the classes for the coming sessions of 2025. These sessions are going to begin between July 21 and August 3, 2025, in many IIT campuses across the country, by providing new students with a good opportunity to explore the environment of the campus. The regular classes are scheduled to take place tentatively from 28th July to 5th August 2025 (depending on the respective institute). JoSAA Counselling 2025: List of Documents Required

For the JoSAA Counselling 2025, students need to submit the following documents for the document verification process:

Important Documents:

• JoSAA Provisional Seat Allotment Letter

• Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt

• JEE Main 2025 Admit Card (and Scorecard for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs)

• JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card (for IIT admissions)

• Class 10 Mark Sheet

• Class 12 Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate

• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.)

• 3 Passport-size Photographs (same as used in JEE registration)

• Medical Certificate (in JoSAA-prescribed format)

• Candidate’s Undertaking Form

Additional Documents:

• Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) in JoSAA format

• PwD Certificate (for Persons with Disabilities)

• OCI/PIO Card or Passport (for foreign nationals)

• DS Certificate (for Direct Admission under Defence Service category)
