IIT Roorkee has announced the JEE Advanced 2026 datesheet. According to the official date announcement, online registrations will start from 23 April 2026, while for foreign nationals, the registration will start from 06 April 2026. Candidates can make the fee payment till 04 May 2026.
After completing registrations, candidates will be able to access the JEE Advanced 2026 admit card from May 11, 2026, to May 17, 2026. The examination is set for May 17, 2026, likely in computer-based test mode with two papers covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JEE Advanced provisional answer key will be available online on May 25, 2026, and the final answer key and result declaration are expected to be released on June 01, 2026.

What is the JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility Criteria?
Candidate’s rank must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2026.
Shortlisting percentages by category: 10% GEN-EWS, 27% OBC-NCL, 15% SC, 7.5% ST, and 40.5% OPEN (available to all).
5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates applies within each of these five categories.
Selection of the top 2,50,000 follows the order specified in the table, based on performance in the JEE (Main) 2026 B.E. or B.Tech. paper.
Applying candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2001.
Candidates from reserved categories will be given 5 year relaxation, according to this they should have been born on or after October 1, 1996.
For the JEE Advanced, any candidate’s maximum attempts should be only two in 2 consecutive years.
Applicants should have appeared in class 12 in either 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Any other appearing year of class 12 is not eligible if their 12th class result is declared before June 18, 2024. If the result is declared after this date, a candidate is eligible for the application.
A candidate should not have been studied in IIT under any program listed in the JoSAA Business Rules of 2025, regardless of whether they continued, accepted online, or reported at a centre.
Those whose IIT admission was cancelled after joining are not eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2026.
Candidates admitted to an IIT preparatory course for the first time in 2025 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2026.
