The Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU) invites applications from aspiring students to its well-regarded Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program in Law for the 2026–27 academic year, as it is committed to re-imagining legal education in India with an international approach and environment that encourages innovation and continuously evolving academic research. ILNU Admission Percentage by Category
Out of the total admissions, up to 15% of candidates are likely to be taken under the NRI/NRI Sponsored category. The 15% supernumerary seats will be reserved for the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Foreign Nationals (FN) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries-South East Asia (CIWGC-SEA). The application procedure and detailed information about the eligibility for admission under the FN/PIO/CIWGC-SEA category will be separately notified by the University.
ILNU 2026 Admissions: Application Fees & Mode of Application
The application fee for the general category is INR 2500, and the application fee for NRI and NRI-sponsored is INR 2500. However, the applicants applying under the NRI / NRI Sponsored category quota will not be included in the General Category merit list. To apply under the General Category, a separate application form and fee must be submitted. The application is sent only through the online mode from the university's official website.
The eligibility for the five-year Integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hon.) / B.Com., LL.B. (Hons.) / B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons) for the general and NRI/NRI Sponsored categories are as follows:
A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or an equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
Those appearing for the qualifying exam in April/May 2026 are also eligible to apply, but must provide proof of passing the exam at the time of admission to meet eligibility criteria.
Applicants must have their (10+2) results declared by the ILNU merit announcement date.
The age eligibility follows the guidelines set by the CLAT 2026 Authority.
Admission is based on the All India merit rank from CLAT 2026.
Candidates must complete the CLAT 2026 application before submitting the ILNU application.
Eligibility for LL.M. (One year) Programme
A candidate must have completed a three-year LL.B. program after graduation or a five-year Integrated Law Degree program recognized by the Bar Council of India, with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates who have taken the examination and are waiting for the results can also apply. However, the admission will be based on the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Nirma University 2026 Admission and Selection Process
Admission will be based on the All India merit rank in CLAT 2026.
Candidates must fill out the CLAT 2026 application form before filling out the ILNU application form.
Eligible candidates will be invited to a counselling session at the Institute for admission based on the merit list prepared by ILNU based on the CLAT 2026 result.
