IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placement 2027 Batch: 410 Students Get Placed In Three Units

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has successfully completed the Summer Placement process for the MBA Class of 2027 of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, with all 410 students securing internship offers. The placement sessions took place across three units on October 28th, October 31, and November 3, 2025. The year also saw the largest representation of recruiters to date, which included 50-plus new companies and higher counts of roles from imminent firms.
The summary report of the Summer Placement process, which concluded on November 3, has shown that the top reporting sector was management consulting with 166 roles (40%), followed by banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), which was represented with 105 roles, (25%) and consumer goods (FMCG) and durables with 37 roles (9%).
IIMA Unit-wise Placement Highlights
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) conducted this placement program in three units on different dates. In the entire placement program, several companies participated and selected a total of 410 students for various firms.
Unit 1
The Unit 1 placement program was a bustling career fair that attracted the top consulting, finance, and strategy firms. Leading the way was Boston Consulting Group with 24 offers, McKinsey & Company with 17 offers, and Bain & Company and Kearney both with 15 offers. Some major Private Equity and Venture Capital firms were also present in the program, including Blackstone, Ares, and Gaja Capital.
In the Investment Banking/Markets category (data included India and Hong Kong/Singapore offers), Goldman Sachs made 11 internship offers across its India and Hong Kong/Singapore locations, while Standard Chartered Bank made 9 offers. Accenture Strategy was also a major recruiter and made a total of 39 offers through its India team or its Global team.
Unit 2
FMCG companies, conglomerates, and e-commerce companies were very interested in Unit 2. Leading the recruitment activity was FinIQ Consulting with 17 offers. Mahindra & Mahindra and JioStar were the number two with 10. Procter & Gamble and Amazon extended 8 offers each.TAS, ITC, Flipkart, and Hindustan Unilever Limited were some of the other recruiters.
Unit 3
Unit 3 had recruitment activity in the technology, consulting, and core sectors. The major player in the Niche Consulting area was Tata Consultancy Services with 13 offers. In Enterprise Technology, Adobe and Microsoft were the major players. Hero MotoCorp and Tata Steel each made three offers in Infrastructure and Core Manufacturing, and Suzuki Motor Corporation (Japan) made two offers.
IIMA Placement Process and Trends
This year, there were more than 165 organizations hiring for more than 230 job roles. Students could still apply to "dream" companies even if they had already been offered an internship. In total of 117 students submitted more than 280 dream applications, which converted at a much higher rate compared to last year. Lastly, placement by unit totaled 234 students in Unit 1, 123 students in Unit 2, and 53 students in Unit 3.
