The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026 in computer-based mode from March 6, 2026, to March 27, 2026, at designated centres across the country. More than 4 lakh aspirants are expected to appear for the CUET PG 2026 entrance exam. Ahead of the examination, NTA has issued the guidelines for the candidates, a list of the important documents to be carried along on the day of the examination, and the timings to report at the centres for the exam. Candidates who have registered for the CUET PG as well as appearing for this entrance exam are advised to go through the instructions issued by NTA and must visit the allotted exam centre to avoid any last-minute mistakes and hustle. CUET PG 2026: Important Instructions
Appearing aspirants in the CUET PG 2026 entrance exam need to read all the instructions and rules carefully which are released by NTA. The instructions for the CUET PG 2026 are as follows:
NTA has advised the candidates to check the location of their centres prior to the day of examination to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the exam. PwD/PwBD candidates must visit and verify the test venue beforehand and immediately inform the NTA in case of any centre-specific issues.
Candidates who have not registered themselves through Aadhaar (or chose authentication through non-Aadhaar options) need to report early on the day of the examination (at least 1 hour before the gate closing time) to get the verification recorded at the Exam Centre.
Also, candidates are advised to report to the examination centre at the reporting time specified on their admit card, as several procedures, including biometric verification, frisking, and attendance recording, will take place before the exam begins.
Candidates must download the Admit Card from the official website of NTA.
NTA has also advised that any candidate should not adopt any unfair means and be involved in any unfair examination practices, as in the examination centres any unfair practice can lead to debarment from future exams of NTA.
Also, candidates must check that their Aadhaar and Aadhaar-based Biometric Authentication Facility are not locked on the day of the exam.
Documents to carry on the day of examination
Candidates must carry all the important documents along with them to the examination centre on the day of the CUET PG entrance exam. The list of the documents is provided below.
A clear-coloured printout of the Admit Card on A4 size paper
Two Passport size photographs, one to pasted on the attendance sheet at the center

Candidates must note that without identity verification entry will not be permitted. Also, scanned photo IDs in the mobile phone will not be accepted and candidates must ensure that their live photographs match with the photographs available in their Aadhaar during the filling of the application form.
CUET PG 2026: Items Prohibited to the Examination Center
Candidates appearing for the CUET PG 2026 entrance exam should not carry Personal belongings, including electronic devices, smart watches, calculators, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices, to the examination centre. Also, NTA has clarified that the authorities will not be responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings and there will be no facility.
Beside this Diabetic students are allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges) and transparent water bottles to the Examination Hall. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed food like chocolates, candies, sandwiches, etc.
