Candidates can pay the examination fee till October 28, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM).
The application correction window is open from October 30 to November 1, 2025.
The registration process for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET, conducted by the National Testing Agency, has been extended. Aspirants can now apply online till October 27, 2025. To complete their application process, candidates are required to visit the CSIR NET official website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The examination is taken for deciding the eligibility of the awardees of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), intake of the PHD programs across Indian universities and colleges, and appointment as Assistant Professors.
As per the official notification, candidates can also pay the examination fee till October 28, 2025. The corresponding correction window will be open from October 30 until November 1, 2025. The CSIR UGC NET is scheduled to be held on December 18, 2025, with two time windows from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

CSIR UGC NET 2025: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for appearing in the CSIR UGC NET is as follows:
Candidates must be Indian citizens to apply.
The upper age limit for JRF applicants is 30 years as of October 1, 2025; there is no age limit for Assistant Professor or PhD admissions.
General/Unreserved/EWS candidates need a minimum of 55% marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates must have at least 50% marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent.
Candidates in the final year of their Master’s or awaiting results are eligible to apply.
Candidates with a four-year bachelor’s degree must have at least 75% marks or an equivalent grade to be eligible.
