CSIR NET 2025 Live Updates: Exam City Intimation Slip Releasing Today; Admit Card to Follow Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CSIR NET Exam City Intimation Slip 2025 anytime today, July 18, 2025, on its official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. This slip informs candidates about the city where their exam centre will be located for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 examination, which is scheduled to be held on July 28, 2025.

The exam city slip is not the same as the CSIR NET admit card but it helps the student applying to  plan their travel and accommodations for the examination. The CSIR NET Admit Card 2025 will be released 2 to 3 days before the date of the examination, by July 25, 2025, tentatively.

What Is CSIR NET?

The CSIR NET stands for Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET). It is a national-level exam conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and Ph.D. admissions in Indian universities and colleges. Additionally, the exam is held for five subjects namely Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences

How to Download CSIR NET Exam City Intimation Slip

Candidates can follow these steps to access their exam city slip:

1. The first step is to visit the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in 

2. Then, click on the link titled “Download CSIR UGC NET Exam City Intimation Slip.”

3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth

4. Submit the details requested in the form. 

5. The slip will appear on the screen showing the candidate’s exam city

6. Download and print the slip for future reference

What Details Are Mentioned in the Slip?

The City Intimation The city intimation slip includes:

• Name of the candidate applying 

• Their Application Number

• Roll Number

• Allotted Exam City

• And Basic instructions for exam day

Note: The exact address of the exam centre will be mentioned in the admit card, not in the city slip.

Exam Day Guidelines

• The CSIR NET 2025 exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. It will be conducted in two shifts: Shift 1 starting from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the exam time and must carry essential details such as a printed copy of the admit card, a valid photo ID proof, and  a passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application)
