Chandigarh University has once again brought honor in India by securing the 109th rank in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026. This achievement marks the third consecutive year that Chandigarh University holds the title of India’s No. 1 Private University. Showing a consistent and notable rise from 149th place in 2024 to 120th in 2025, and now climbing further to 109th. In​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ just a few years, Chandigarh University has gone up by more than 160 places in the QS Asia University Rankings. This jump shows the university’s focused strategy towards enhancing its academic reputation and research output. 

Chandigarh University’s Future Vision

In a speech about the success, CU Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu attributed the success of the university to its student-focused philosophy, faculty excellence, and vision. He highlighted the vision of CU to be a world leader in higher education, where they intend to increase the number of international students, joint degrees, and international research networks.

With the increasing growth of the private education sector in India, CU has always been ranked top, which gives other institutions a model to emulate.
