On 24th August, 2025 the public university of Chennai, Anna University officially announced the semester results for its various offered undergraduate and postgraduate and doctoral courses. The results of the exams conducted in the month of April and May are now live on the university’s official website at coe1.annauniv.edu
Those who appeared for the first year examination and other courses can now check their results from the university’s official student portal by logging in to the portal and providing the registration number. The results have been released for a variety of programs such as Undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Education, and other post graduate and doctoral programs.
Steps to Check the Anna University 2025 Exam Results
Check the steps deduced below for downloading the official results for the respective courses released at the official website of the university.
Step 1: Go to the Anna University official student’s portal @coe1.annauniv.edu.
Step 2: On the right slider, click on the link with the text ‘April/ May Examinations for UG, PG, PhD’.
Step 3: Provide the registration number and select the option of ‘Get Result’.
Step 4: The result list will appear on the screen, check the result for the respective course.
Step 5: Download and save the PDF Document of the official result for future reference.
Kindly note that the result will be declared online and no hard copy will be distributed by the university.
What’s Next After the Result Declaration
After the results of the semester April/May become public in Anna University students will typically have one of the following actions based on their performance:
For students who have passed all papers:
Registration in next semester: Students who have passed all their papers will register for their next semester subjects.
Applying for certificates: Final year students who have passed all papers should apply for their provisional and consolidated mark sheets. Usually taking place online through the Controller of Examinations (CoE) web portal.
Provisional certificates: For final year students provisional certificates and mark sheets will be issued which are needed for job seeking or applying for higher education.
Degree certificates: The university hosts a convocation ceremony for the awarding of degree certificates.
Re-examination and Revaluation Request
If a student is dissatisfied with his/her marks, he/she will be able to apply for a photocopy of his/her answer books, and he/she can request for a revaluation.
The procedure is as follows:
i) First, apply for a photocopy of the answer script by paying a fee, as prescribed.
ii) After being issued the photocopy of the answer script, check the photocopy of the answer script for marking errors,
iii) If there is an error, then apply for revaluation within the time period specified.
Re-examination: Students who fail in a course need to register for the re-examination for that subject. Anna University conducts arrear examination throughout the year.
Final year students: If the student is in the final year and could not clear the arrear, even after the initial re-examination, he/she will do the course along with the regular students in a subsequent semester.
For all Students
Release of Grade Sheets: The university will release the grade sheets giving individual subject-wise marks and grades, to the affiliated colleges.
Official Notifications: All due dates and procedures on revaluation, re-exams, and certificate applications, are published on the official Anna University Controller of Examinations.
Online Student Services Portal: Most services including certificate applications are also available via the online student services portal at onlineservices.annauniv.edu.
