The Delhi Government has initiated a new project that will train teachers in schools on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The purpose of this program is to support personalisation in learning and assessment in classrooms. Training will be provided by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) located in Delhi.
What Is the AI Mediated Classroom Project?
The project is called the AI-Mediated Classroom Project and it will help teachers use AI tools to teach better and manage tasks more easily. The training will happen in two phases with the first phase starting from October 8, 2025.
Phase 1- Training Computer Science Teachers
In the first phase, 100 Computer Science teachers from 50 government schools will take part. These teachers will attend a two-day hands-on training. After the training, they will become master trainers. They will teach other teachers in their schools how to use AI tools.

What Will Teachers Learn?
Educators will be instructed on AI tools that ease and increase creativity in their teaching workload. They will gain the ability to quickly develop presentation materials and generate engaging ideas for activities in class. AI tools may also assist educators in editing images for lessons and modifying content for the needs of individual students. Teachers can use AI to create better assessments and to measure student learning at each students’ unique level. This will save time and allow educators to spend more time on teaching. It will also make learning more compelling and beneficial for students in the classroom.
Some of the AI tools include:
Napkin: Makes images from text
Gamma: Helps create PowerPoint slides quickly
Why This Matters
This project will help teachers save time and focus more on students. It will also make learning more fun and useful. Teachers will be able to adjust lessons based on each student’s needs. The SCERT says this will lead to better learning outcomes and more engaging classrooms.

What’s Next?
After the training, SCERT will ask teachers to share their feedback, which will help them understand what worked well and what needs improvement. They will also plan follow-up sessions to guide teachers in using the AI tools properly. The aim is to make sure every classroom is ready for the future. With this project, Delhi schools are moving towards smart and modern teaching. It shows that technology can support both teachers and students. AI tools will help teachers teach better and students learn better. This step is important for building a strong and updated education across all government schools in Delhi.
