

The National Insurance Academy offers a PGDM course with Core management courses, including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Analytics, and Technology, which make up 55% of the curriculum, while insurance disciplines make up 45%. The NIA provides a PGDM as a full-time 2-year course. The curriculum is composed of 45% insurance disciplines, such as General Insurance, Reinsurance, Pensions, and Life Insurance, and 55% Core Management subjects, such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Analytics, and Technology. As a result, the NIA PGDM program is unique among other PGDM programs of a similar kind and offers students the opportunity to select a field such as Insurance or Technology. This curriculum is specifically created to prepare students for future top leadership positions, like CEOs, and to produce entrepreneurs in the technology and insurance industries.
The total fee for the two-year PGDM program is INR 11,00,000, including tuition, professional fees, and other costs related to running the program. Additionally, the students would be required to pay INR 1,75,000 for food and lodging expenses for a year. Hostel accommodations will be provided according to availability. Students who choose not to reside on campus are exempt from paying hostel fees.
Admission to the PGDM program is based on academic qualifications and entrance exam scores. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. Students in the final year are also eligible to apply if they provide their examination results by 30 June 2025. Along with the academic qualifications, students also need to have valid scores in entrance exams, including the CAT (75%), XAT (80%) and CMAT (95%).
Apart from these eligibility criteria, General / EWS / OBC-NC candidates must not be more than 28 years of age, and candidates belonging to the SC/ST/DA category must not be more than 30 years of age as of July 2026. Selection to the PGDM program is based on the Past academic record, Performance in CAT / XAT / CMAT, and Performance in Group Discussion & Personal Interview, including knowledge of English.
