At IIT BHU, Indian students enrolling in the M.Tech and M.Pharm programs under the regular GEN/OBC/EWS category are required to initially pay INR 29,965 at the time of admission (INR 19,665 for SC/ST/PD students, as their tuition and hostel rent fees are waived). Sponsored GEN/OBC/EWS students must pay a total of INR 64,965, while sponsored external students pay INR 16,965, project fellows are charged INR 29,965, and internal staff only need to pay INR 11,900.
This fee structure includes a one-time charge of INR 4,250 (for admission, ID, etc.), INR 9,000 for deposits, semester fees of INR 16,350 for regular students, and INR 365 for insurance. The One-Year Preparatory Course at IIT BHU is a bridge program for JEE Advanced qualified candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD). These are the candidates who meet relaxed criteria but need extra academic support before joining regular B.Tech./B.Arch. programs. Students who complete the program are transitioned directly into IIT BHU's undergraduate degrees, with registration requiring physical reporting, online fee payment and document submission.​
Coming to the IIT BHU fees for Preparatory Course, new students need to pay a total of INR15,915 which is split into one-time non-refundable fees of INR 500, refundable deposits of INR 9,000 and semester fees of INR 6,050. IIT BHU offers strong financial support for its students across UG, PG, PhD and Integrated programs. Undergraduate students can get Merit-cum-Means scholarships for 25% of them, plus endowment scholarships and special aid for SC/ST students like free studentship, mess charge refunds and pocket money. All non-sponsored M.Tech/M.Pharm students receive Junior Research Fellowship-level stipends, while PhD students get many Junior/Senior Research Fellowships with efforts to cover all eligible candidates.
