The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the results of the Stenographer Grade C and D exam 2025 on 28 November. The exam for this Steno Grade C and D was conducted as a computer-based test on 6, 7, 8, and 11 August 2025 at various centres across India. As per the notification, 8626 candidates cleared for Grade C stenographer and 22,456 candidates cleared for Grade D stenographer earlier.
The exam was conducted to fill 1590 vacancies across central ministries and their departments. SSC also published the candidates' category-wise cut-off marks, also with lists list of candidates who have been debarred, rejected, and withheld.
The minimum qualifying marks for unreserved category candidates require to score of 30% marks in the computer-based examination to qualify. OBC and EWS applicants must achieve at least 25%. SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories need 20% or higher.

What's Next After The SSC Stenographer Result
Candidates who qualify will be required to take the Stenography Skill Test, which is a qualifying round. Candidates who apply for Grade C positions will have to pass this test by dictating a minimum of 100 words per minute, and the Minimum for Grade D positions will be 80 words per minute. Also, the Computer-Based Test (CBT), the Skill Test, and Document Verification, completed successfully, will determine candidates' final selections.
