The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is playing an important role in students' academic growth. The institute is now providing financial support or assistance to deserving candidates to extend their careers to the fullest.
This financial support will be provided in the form of merit-cum-means or as fee assistance, etc. This assistance is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, which will help their families avoid any type of financial burden.
This type of financial support is provided to about 25 per cent of the students, whose annual family income is up to 4.5 Lakhs. Though the institute is already providing various other assistance, this support will act as a bonus to students' higher education.
IIT Delhi Scholarship for UG & PG Students
The scholarship schemes provide students with financial support, which allows them to grow in the way they desire, choose their interests without any monetary pressures. The monetary benefit provided will range from INR 25,000 to INR 1 lakh and possesses structured criteria for the scheme, such as family income, academic performance, social category, etc.
Undergraduate(UG) Students
The institute is providing monetary support to engineering and technology students pursuing bachelor's degrees. Below are the types of scholarships provided to deserving students. The present value of this scholarship is INR 1,000 for Gen./EWS/OBC with valid proof of family income.
Institute Merit-Cum-means (MCM) Scholarships: Students eligible for this scholarship should have a family income of up to 4.5 Lakhs. For renewal of this scholarship, students need to maintain a minimum CGPA and SGPA, i.e., 6.0.
Institute Free Studentship: The scheme offers deserving candidates with tuition fee waivers to only 10% of the students on the basis of means alone, if more than 25% students are eligible for MCM.
Donor Scholarships: These scholarships are based on students' programme, gender, family income, branch, JEE rank, and Academic performance (SGPA/CGPA). The documents needed to be attached for the scholarship are: Valid family income proofs required to be uploaded annually on ERP. The majority of donor scholarships are auto-processed.
Post Graduate (PG) Students
The scheme is available for M.A., M.Sc. and M.P.P deserving students and below is the criteria for scholarship:
