IGNOU Admissions 2025-26: ODL Registration Deadline Extended Till 31 August

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) for all UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate programs for the July session 2025. The extended new deadline is set to August 31, 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can register for the ODL program through the official website. 

To register for the Open and Distance Learning program, applicants must give their details, like username, full name, email ID, and mobile number. Other than this information, they also need to upload scanned documents such as a passport-size photograph, an image of the signature, and relevant qualification documents.

The complete registration process is divided into two sections, i.e., creating an account and registration for the program. A complete registration process of the IGNOU ODL program is illustrated below. The applicant can follow the step-by-step instructions below to register for the program:

Step 1: Visit the official website of ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in

Step 2: Click on the “Click here for new registration” button.

Step 3: Enter all the information asked in the form to create your account for ODL registration.

Step 4: Once the account is created, log out of the page.

Step 5: Now, log in for the registration process with your username and password.

Step 6: A new dashboard will open, offering an option for registering. 

Step 7: Select the courses appropriately and make the payment for them.

Advice and Guidelines for Applicants while Registering for IGNOU ODL 

If applicants are using any third-party services, like a cybercafé or something else, for the registration process, they must ensure that the data and course information are submitted correctly. Making the fee payment for the program has been done successfully. In case the payment is done twice by mistake for the same candidates, one of the payments will roll back to the account from which the payment was made.
