The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Talent Search Test 2026, announced by the GSEB, is a multi-tiered examination aimed at the discovery of intellectually talented students from the state of Gujarat. The test also serves as a first academic challenge for students of class 9, who can earn recognition and prizes while showcasing their academic excellence. 

The registrations have started from 15 November and will be closed on 30 November 2025, and the date for the examination is January 28, 2026. Schools and students cannot afford to waste a minute if they want to be part of this program that encourages talent and is highly selective.

Talent Search Test 2026 Key Highlights

  • Exam Date: January 28, 2026

  • Eligibility: Students of class 9 in schools in Gujarat

  • Application Window: November 15 - November 30, 2025

  • Mode of Registration: Using their Index Number and Password (the same as the Class 10 application forms), schools are to register students.

  • Exam Centres: Schools will be required to choose the closest exam centre; hence, one centre will be applicable for all students who have been registered.

  • Awards: The successful candidates will be placed on the merit list and receive monetary awards that will be directly credited to their bank accounts.

GSEB Talent Search Test 2026: Step-by-Step Registration Process

Schools are required to follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the official site gseb.org and prakharata.gseb.org

Step 2: Log in using their Index Number and Password.

Step 3: Complete the student registration with details such as name, caste, gender, GR number, and medium of study.

Step 4: Make sure that bank account details are correct (bank name, branch, IFSC code, account number).

Step 5: Get verification of the details from the students/parents before submitting the form.

Step 6: If all students are writing their exam at the same location, then they should:

  • Pick a location that best suits all students for the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌exam.
