Stats show that only 0.7 mental health specialists are available per 100,000 people. These programs aim to meet the urgent need for trained mental health professionals in India.
The programs are designed to provide both strong academic foundations and real-world clinical training. Fortis Healthcare, a well-known tertiary care hospital network, will handle the clinical training component. Students will receive hands-on experience at the hospitals. During their training session, they will observe and take part in psychological assessments, therapy sessions, and case discussions alongside trained professionals. This collaboration ensures that students gain practical exposure in real hospital settings, preparing them for a wide range of roles in mental healthcare.
