On 4 September 2025, the NIRF released its ranking for the year 2025, and again the Chandigarh University secured its rank among the top institutes by focusing on its academic excellence, innovations, multiple discipline approach and holistic development, among other commitments.

About NIRF and Its Importance

NIRF or National Institutional Ranking Framework is a methodology that delivers university rankings every year by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The NIRF was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and was established in September 2015.
