The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially postponed the CUET UG 2025 exam, moving it from the initial tentative date of 8 May to 13 May. According to sources, the delay is due to the NTA's lack of preparedness to conduct the entrance test as scheduled. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has been informed about this change, and a formal announcement regarding the revised exam dates is expected after a meeting between the NTA and the UGC on Tuesday. This postponement affects thousands of students preparing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions.

Confusion Among Aspirants Due to Delay

The delay in releasing the exam schedule has left thousands of CUET aspirants feeling uncertain. Many students and parents are anxious as they wait for the release of exam city slips, which are crucial for planning travel and accommodation. The absence of clear communication from the NTA has further contributed to the confusion, with candidates across the country seeking clarity on the revised timetable.

Exam Pattern

This year, the CUET-UG 2025 will be conducted entirely in computer-based test (CBT) mode for all 37 subjects. Each subject will have a duration of 60 minutes and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions. The number of shifts per day will vary based on the availability of exam centers, with two to three shifts expected daily.

CUET-UG 2025 will be conducted in 13 Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates are advised to strictly follow the instructions provided in the official information bulletin available on the NTA website.
