The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has recently made an announcement regarding the extension of the application form filling date for the HSLC Examination. As per the latest announcement, the ASSEB has extended the last date for form fill-up of the HSLC Examination, 2026, up to October 21, 2025. The current schedule states that the last date for fee submission or the registration process is October 24, 2025.
To all the candidates appearing in the HSLC Examination, 2026, the ASSEB has released a guideline to follow during the form-filling process. As per the guidelines issued, all the candidates appearing in the HSLC Examination must possess a valid bank account authorised in their respective names. In addition to this, all the schools are hereby directed to upload the bank account details of all the candidates in the form fill-up portal. In case there is a failure to furnish the required details, the student will lose the entitlement for the allowance to sit in the examination.
This has come into view of the closure of schools and offices due to the forthcoming Durga Puja vacation. The extension in the application date is aimed at allowing students to have extra time in order to complete the required formalities. Moreover, the move will ensure that every eligible student is able to submit their forms without facing last-minute difficulties. It also guarantees compliance with SEBA guidelines, including bank account details for allowances. Hence, it is important for the students to complete the registration process within the given time window so as to avoid missing the chance to appear in the HSLC exam.
Assam HSLC 2026 Revised Exam Schedule
The Assam HSLC 2026 examinations are expected to be conducted around February-March 2026. There will be two sessions in which the exam will be conducted, with the morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the afternoon session from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The evaluation in the HSLC exam will be done based on a range of subjects, including Science, Social Science, General Science, English, Mathematics, Assamese, and other elective subjects.
