JELET Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of India.
There is no upper age limit for diploma holders in engineering, technology, or pharmacy courses.
For B. Sc candidates, the upper age limit is 27 years.
For diploma holders in Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years.
Diploma holders who have passed a minimum of three years or two years through lateral entry with 45% marks (40% marks in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved category).
Candidates who have passed a B.Sc degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks and passed the 12th exam with Mathematics as a subject are eligible for the JELET exam.
However, candidates applying to Jadavpur University must secure at least 60% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PWD) or equivalent CGPA in diploma education.
Diploma candidates who are seeking admission in Pharmacy should have a diploma from an institute that has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

JELET Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme
The WBJEE JELET is a pen-and-paper-based exam. It means that the candidates answer the multiple-choice questions using an OMR sheet. However, the question paper varies based on the candidate’s qualification, such as a diploma in Engineering/Technology, B.Sc, or a Diploma in Pharmacy. The exam is two hours long, and there were a total of 100 questions & the total marks a person can get is 120 marks.
The JELET exam has two categories of questions, where Category 1 awards candidates one mark for every correct answer they give and deducts 1/4th or 25% of the marks for each incorrect answer. JELET Answer Key 2025
The JELET answer key will be released in July by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board(WBJEEB). Once the authorities release the answer key, the candidates should download it and then compare their responses with the answer key. It helps the candidates understand how well they have performed in the exam. If the candidates find any sort of errors or discrepancies, they must contact the authorities immediately.
