The full form of JELET is the Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test. It is a state-level entrance exam for admission into the second year for undergraduate programs in engineering, technology, and pharmacy degree courses in West Bengal. The application form was released on the official website on 1st April 2025. Afterwards, the online application correction window was opened from 2nd to 5th May 2025.
Once the correction window had opened, candidates could make changes or add information that was left out in their application form. However, there were only a few details that the candidates were allowed to correct, such as reservation category, tuition fee waiver status, photo, PWD category, home district, income category, religion, nationality, and Aadhar card.
The online application window for the JELET 2025 exam opened on 1st April 2025. Candidates had applied for this exam by applying or filling out an online application form from the official website. Filling out an online application form is a complete process that starts with the candidate's registration, filling out the application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the fees to ensure that the application form is submitted correctly.
Furthermore, if candidates had left out some information in the application form, they had the chance to make changes in the application form once the application correction window had opened from 2nd to 5th May 2025.
How to apply for the JELET 2025 Exam?
Given below are the steps that the candidates had to read before filling out the application form:
Step 1: Registration
The registration process begins with the candidates visiting the official website: https://wbjeeb.nic.in/
Once the homepage opens up, they have to click on the ‘New Registration Link’.
As soon as it opens up, candidates must register themselves by providing details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, personal identification number, contact details, address, pincode, email ID, or alternate mobile number.
After this candidate needs to generate a strong password by answering the security question.
Next, the candidates have to click the ‘Submit’ button.
Finally, the candidates receive their application ID and password on their registered mobile number & email.
Step 2: Filling the Application Form
Once candidates receive their application ID and password, they have to log in and start filling out their online application form.
Candidates have to fill in all of their personal details, and choose Yes/No in the domicile category.
They need to enter all other details such as categories, religion, nationality, and more.
Step 3: Uploading Documents: Once the candidates fill out their application form, they need to upload their photograph and signature in the JPEG/JPG format. The size of the photograph and signature is between 3 to 100 KB for the photograph and 3 to 30 KB for the signatures.
Step 4: Fee Payment: Next, the candidates need to pay the fee before submitting the online application for the JELET exam 2025. The application fee for male candidates of the general category is INR 500, and female candidates of the general category have to pay INR 400.
On the other hand, male candidates from the SC, ST, EWS, and OBC-A, referring to ‘More Backward Classes’, and OBC-B is for the ‘Backward Classes’, need to pay INR 400. While female candidates of the categories mentioned above and third-gender candidates must pay INR 300. Candidates can pay the fee online using one of the payment methods, such as net banking, credit card, or debit card. Additionally, Female PwD candidates have to pay INR 400, and PwD male candidates have to pay INR 500.
Step 5: Print the Confirmation Page: Once the payment is through, the candidate needs to click on the ‘Submit’ button, and they will get the confirmation page on the screen. The candidates are advised to download and save the confirmation page that will be used until the final admission process.

JELET 2025 Correction Window
Candidates who want to make modifications to their application can do it after the application correction, which was available from 2nd to 5th May 2025. During this period, candidates were able to edit the details of their application form, such as their category, tuition fee waiver, photo, home district, income category, religion, and nationality. However, the important details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile, and date of birth couldn’t be edited.
