How To Improve the VARC Section of CAT 2025?

Ifβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œ a student wants to enhance their score in the VARC section of CAT 2025, first develop a strong reading habit that is strong by reading newspapers, editorials, and different genres of literature on a daily basis. In Reading Comprehension, concentrate more on understanding the tone, making inferences, and recognising the argument structure. In Verbal Ability, they should regularly work on para jumbles, odd sentence out, and summary questions so that they can become logical and coherent without which they cannot understand the flow of the passage.

To improve their speed and accuracy, they need to take timed mock tests and also check their mistakes in order to find the error types. Improve vocabulary by learning words from word lists and also by using them in daily life. And at the end of the day, if the students are consistent with their daily practice and reflection, they will certainly master the VARC section and then the overall CAT score will go β€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œup.

Section 2: Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)

Theβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œ Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) part in CAT is a test of the candidate's ability to think logically, recognise patterns, and solve problems. The section has caselets, puzzles, and data sets that call for the use of logic. To reach success, one must have quickness, correctness, and the ability to decide the right set to work with. Daily drills not only make the understanding easier but also help to score higher in this difficult but rewarding β€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œsection.

How To Improve the DILR Section of CAT 2025?

Initially,β€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œ try different DILR sets of puzzles, tables, caselets, and charts to get comfortable with the changing trends. Keep speed secondary to correctness because a very high percentile can be obtained by solving just 2-3 sets correctly. Create a methodical way of working like dissecting the problem, drawing the data in their mind, and not taking any assumptions. They can practice tests against the clock to test their decision-making skills and endurance. By dissecting the mistakes during the mock tests, students can recognise their weak points and thus enhance their strategy for choosing the sets.

Section 3: Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

Quantitativeβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œβ€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€β€Œ Aptitude (QA) part in CAT is a test of one's mathematical proficiency and problem-solving skills. It includes topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and number systems. Being fast, accurate, and having a clear concept is what will help you to pass this section. First of all, core concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and number systems should be deepened, as most questions are derived from Class 9–10 math.

They should also focus on topics such as percentages, time-speed-distance, and profit-loss. Employ topic-wise practice to attain correctness, then get to the speed by doing the mixed sets. Try out the CAT papers of the past to get acquainted with the types of questions and their level of difficulty. Also, take the timed mock tests to get used to the exam pressure and modify your strategy. The mistakes made during the tests should be looked at for identifying weak spots and revising them. Continuous practice with intelligent planning is what will eventually lead to a high β€‹β€β€‹β€Œβ€β€‹β€score in the quantitative aptitude section.
