VIT University Admission Criteria
Undergraduate Programs
B.Tech: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST & select regional categories). Admission is done via the VITEEE entrance exam.
B.Arch: To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks, along with a valid NATA score.
B.Des: Class 12 with at least 60% marks, and selection is done through the VITDAT or UCEED + Interview for admission into B.Des program.
BBA / BCA / B.Sc / B.Com: Completion of Class 12 in relevant subjects with at least 60% marks is required (VIT BS requires 80% for the first two years). Admission to these courses is based on merit.
Postgraduate Programs
M.Tech / MCA: Relevant bachelor’s degree, with minimum 60% marks. Admission to M.Tech and MCA is done through the VITMEE and GATE.
MBA: MBA admission requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks, along with entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT, ATMA, and a Personal interview & work experience.
M.Sc: A UG degree is required with 60% marks from a recognised university, and admission is based on merit.
M.Des: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 60% Entrance exam, VITMEE or CEED is mandatory for the M.Des admissions.
Doctoral & Integrated Programs
PhD: Master’s degree with at least 60% marks from a recognised university, and admission is done through the UGC NET JRF and VITREE entrance exam + Interview.
Integrated M.Tech / M.Sc / Dual Degrees: Class 12 performance + entrance exams or interviews.
Online Programs
MBA / MCA / M.Sc (Online): Graduation from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

Vellore Institute of Technology Invites admission to its Bachelor of Business Administration program through VIT Business School for the academic year 2025. The BBA program is a four-year Undergraduate course offered in the full-time mode. The first 2 years are at BBA Business School at VIT, and the next 2 years at Binghamton University SOM.
Admission is merit-based and does not require an entrance exam. Instead, candidates are selected based on their performance in Class 12.
To be eligible, applicants must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 80% marks for the BBA BS. Students from SC/ST categories or those from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North Eastern states are offered a 10% relaxation in eligibility criteria.
