TNNLU offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses in various fields of Law for students who want to pursue their career in the sector of Law, judiciary and advocacy. TNNLU provides its flagship five-year integrated B.A. (Hons) LLB and B.Com (Hons) LLB course, which is offered over ten semesters. The admission in the B.A. (Hons) LLB course is based on the past year's academic marks scored, along with a valid score in the CLAT UG entrance examination.
For B.A Hons. LLB admission, candidates must fill out the application form of the CLAT UG entrance exam, which will start tentatively from 1 August 2025, and the last date to apply is 31 October 2025. A candidate with a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 from a recognised board can fill out the application form.

The institute offers a flagship five-year integrated B.A. Hons LLB course for students interested in pursuing their careers in Law. For admission in the BA Hons LLB course at TNNLU Tiruchirapalli, ca andidate must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
Candidates must pass class 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) from a recognised Board.
Candidates must register for the CLAT examination and must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance exam.
Candidates who are appearing in the 10+2 board examination and whose results have not been declared must produce evidence of their passing marks before the last date of admission.
For admission in the postgraduate LLM course at TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, students must have the following eligibility criteria:
Candidates must have passed in 3 years or 5 years B.L./ LL.B./ B.L. (Hons.) or LL.B. (Hons.) or its equivalent B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Com with minimum 55% marks from a recognised Institute or University.
Candidates must appear in the CLAT PG examination and have to score qualifying marks and a valid score card of the CLAT PG examination.

TNLLU Tiruchirappalli offers a full-time five-year integrated undergraduate BA Hons LLB course for students. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 with at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category students) from a recognised board.
The applicants must pass the CLAT entrance examination with qualifying marks and rank, as admission to UG courses at TNNLU Tiruchirappalli is based on the entrance exam. Students who want to get admission in an LLM course must have a 3-year or 5-year B.L./ LL.B./ B.L. (Hons.) or LL.B. (Hons.) or its equivalent B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Com with minimum 55% marks from a recognised Institute or University.
Tamil Nadu National Law University Tiruchirappalli course and fees are moderate, which costs around INR 1,01,955 per annum. The admission to the LLM course is based on the CLAT PG entrance examination. TNNLU Tiruchirappalli provides a doctoral Program in basically two main streams, Interdisciplinary and Law. The duration of this Program is around two years. The students who want to seek admission in PhD admission must have passed the Postgraduate/LLM or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST category).
In some specific courses, the candidates with a law degree and a Master's in social sciences or humanities with at least 55% marks are eligible for admission if their research topic is associated with Law. Admission to the PhD courses is separately advertised, so applicants should visit the official website frequently for the latest information. Admissions to PhD programs, TNNLU may conduct its own written test or require NET/SLET scores, followed by an interview process.
