The Career Management Centre (CMC) of SFIMAR plays an important role in connecting students, alumni, and industry recruiters, where its main objective is focused on the development of the professional career of the students. The CMC assists in getting a two-month summer internship to first-year postgraduate students, normally in May and June, and hosts campus placement drives to final-year students, with a target of 100% placement. CMC offers career advice about specialisation and entrepreneurship, and placement options. It also helps students with live projects, pre-placement training, and information about the placement policy and the selection process.
The centre is actively engaged through maintaining relationships with corporate recruiters and the alumni, which is creating industry-academia collaboration. Students also get exposure to work cultures and sectors through the alumni interaction programs. CMC is also useful in marketing the company on campus and the complete recruitment procedure. It also collaborates with organisations to implement corporate onboarding programs, thus ensuring that the students successfully integrate into the professional stage of their careers without falling behind in the trends of the industry.

The SFIMAR placement drive 2025 timeline starts with the final placements presentation in October by the companies. The last hiring process is carried out in two phases. Phase 1 takes place between 15th October 2025 and 31st December 2025, and Phase 2 between 1st January 2026 and 1st March 2026. The process of summer hiring begins in January; it corresponds to the academic process. First-year students will be assigned summer internships between 2nd May 2026 and 30th June 2026 to provide them with industry exposure and practical experience over the summer.
The SFIMAR Placement team starts working with Semester I students and continues with them during the first and second year, with various career-oriented events. The students have constant contact with industry professionals who assist in polishing their skills to the existing corporate standards. Special workshops and aptitude tests are carried out to strengthen their analytical and reasoning skills. Moreover, mock group discussions (GD) and personal interviews (PI) are structured to ensure that the students are well-equipped and confident to go through final placement interviews.
