

SFIMAR, located in the suburb of Mumbai, was instituted in 2002. The institute offers several NAAC and NBA-accredited and AICTE-approved courses in the field of Business and Management. The courses offered by the SFIMAR are BMS, MMS, PGDM, EPBM, and PhD courses. The institute has been providing certificate courses as well for candidates willing to grow their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge.
Admission is based on both merit and entrance exams. SFIMAR accepts entrance exams such as MAH-CET, CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, ATMA, etc. A minimum requirement of having a Class 12th certificate, a UG and PG degree is also mandatory. Candidates will be allotted seats after they register for CAP (Centralised Admission Procedure).
SFIMAR generally opens its admission window in July and concludes in August (exclusive for MMS courses). Candidates who want to enrol for MMS next year, i.e., 2026, are advised to appear for the prospective entrance exams. The application process for this course will start in July 2026 (Tentative).
St. Francis Institute of Management and Research provides BMS (UG course), MMS (PG Courses), PGDM (PG Diploma course), EPBM (Executive Course), and PhD in various streams of Management. Admission is determined based on merit, and scores of university/ state/ national-level entrance exams.
Basic eligibility criteria depend on the marks achieved in Class 12th for the UG course, which is a minimum of 50%, and a UG degree with at least 50% marks for PG, PGDM, and Executive courses. PhD will be taken based on BMS (Hons with Research), with at least 75% and 55% marks required for PG and MPhil.
SFIMAR invites admission to various courses for the academic session 2025-2026, except for the MMS course, which has ended its admission process. Candidates are advised to fill out the application form, which can be filled out in both online and offline modes. Both application forms are made available on the institute’s official website. The application form will cost INR 1500. After the CAP round ends, candidates can also apply directly against the vacant seats or cancelled seats.

SFIMAR provides a variety of programs that have certain eligibility requirements.
For BMS admission, the minimum eligibility of the applicants is 50% in Class 12 along with an effective entrance examination mark, MAH-CET in the case of BBA/BCA/BBM or BMS.
MMS candidates have to possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and have to be qualified in an examination such as MAH-CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, or MAT.
PGDM requires a three-year bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and MAH-CET, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, or GMAT scores.
Graduates with a minimum of three years of work experience can apply for EPBM.
PhD applicants require 55% marks in postgraduation, and a valid PET, GMAT, UGC-NET/ JRF, etc score, or 75% in BMS (Hons with Research) with NET score.
NOTE: Candidates of Maharashtra residence will get 5% eligibility relaxation.
SFIMAR has BMS as its UG course, available in the field of Finance, Marketing and Human Resources. Admission is based on both merit and entrance exam scores. As per the guidelines of the Admissions Regulating Authority, students should have appeared for the MAH - BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET 2025.
The entry requirement is having a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved candidates of Maharashtra) in the 12th standard and a valid score of MAH-CET BMS/ BBA/ BCA.
BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) is a four-year full-time course incorporating streams such as Human Resources, Finance, and Marketing. The eligibility requirement for the BMS course is achieving at least 50% in Class 12th and must appear for the MAH-CET meant for BBA/ BCA and BMS. Admissions for BMS for the academic term 2025-2026 are open. Candidates must participate in CAP, which is conducted in different rounds. The total course fee for the BMS program is INR 60,000, which must be paid at the time of admission.
SFIMAR at the PG level offers MMS, which is pursued after completion of a UG degree. The minimum qualification for MMS is to have qualified for a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for Maharashtra reserved candidates). Some of the major disciplines that are offered include Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Information Technology. To apply online, students must visit the official website.
St. Francis Institute of Management and Research offers MMS (Master’s of Management Studies) in Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Marketing. This course is offered for two years and is an AICTE-approved course. The enrollment will be accepted if a candidate has both academic scores and entrance exam scores of either of the exams: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, or MAH-CET MBA/ MMS. To pursue this course, candidates have to spend at least INR 2,05,740, which also includes the tuition fees and other additional fees.
Admissions for the MMS course closed on 30 August 2025. However, candidates who want to pursue MMS for the next academic term i.e., 2026-2027, are required to appear for any of the mentioned upcoming entrance exams and secure a valid score.
St. Francis Institute of Management and Research accepts both online and offline application forms. Candidates can obtain a PDF of the offline admission form either through the institute’s official website or can collect it from the institute's office. Both forms will require personal and academic details, with valid scores of the entrance exam that a candidate has appeared in. It is mandatory to provide all the necessary documents.
