SFIMAR provides several Management and Business courses at UG, PG, PG Diploma, Executive, and PhD levels. The courses are BMS, MMS, PGDM, EPBM, and PhD. The admission is determined by both merit and entrance examinations conducted at the national level/ state level, or university level. Candidates have to appear for a written test and an interview as per the course requirements.
Additionally, candidates will have to adhere to the eligibility criteria set by the institute. The minimum eligibility criteria are having passed Class 12th for UG admission, a Bachelor’s degree for PG, PG Diploma and Executive course, and a Master’s degree for PhD course. Eligibility percentage will vary depending on the specific course.
SFIMAR has opened its admission window for various courses such as PGDM, EPBM, PhD, etc., for the academic session 2025-2026. Candidates who have appeared in any of the entrance exams, such as MAH-CET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, or GMAT, will have to register for the CAP (Centralised Admission Procedure). Candidates can also get directly admitted against vacant seats after CAP and cancelled seats.
The admission process for MMS ended on 30 August 2025. For the next academic year 2026-2027, the admission for MMS is expected to start in July 2026. And will continue till the CAP final rounds.

SFIMAR offers various courses, including BMS, MMS, PGDM, Executive course, and PGDM. For which candidates must qualify for certain eligibility criteria to be eligible for admission. St. Francis Institute of Management and Research admission takes place based on merit and university/ state/national-level entrance examinations. Apart from that, a minimum qualifying education is mandatory for students to commit. At the UG level, Class 12th education is a must. At PG, PG Diploma, and Executive level, qualifying marks in UG are counted, and for PhD, marks achieved in Master’s is required. Below are the specific and detailed eligibility criteria for the provided courses.
BMS: A minimum of 50% or an equivalent GPA in Class 12th/ High Secondary School. Along with this, scores of entrance examinations are also required. Candidates will also need a score of MAH-CET for BCA/ BBA or BBM.
MMS: To enrol for this course, students must have a minimum of 50% or an equivalent CGPA in a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, and a qualified and valid score of either of the following entrance exams: MAH-CET for MBA/ MMS, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, or MAT. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST, OBC, and PwD of Maharashtra residence, will be admitted at a minimum of 45%.
PGDM: A compulsory three-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% from MU, and a valid score of MAH-CET, XAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, or GMAT.
EPBM: Candidates who are going to pursue this course must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience as a working professional.
PhD: A minimum of 55% in a Master’s degree, or in MPhil, and a valid score in either university-level entrance examinations, PET, or national level entrance examinations, UGC-NET/JRF/ CSIR/ SLET/ GATE. Teacher fellowship members can also apply.
Also, candidates with a minimum of 75% BMS (Hons with Research) and a valid NET score are eligible to apply.

At SFIMAR, candidates get overall 100% assistance in their career advancement through placement and summer internships. The Career and Management Centre of this institute has bridged the gap between academia and industry relationships through industrial collaborations and visits. As of now, 75-plus prominent companies have visited the institute for the campus placement drives. For the past three years, the institute has also offered summer placement in Canada.
According to the NIRF Placement Report 2024, the median salary of INR 4.75 has been secured by the individuals. Whereas, out of 155 candidates, 137 have been placed in the 2024 placement drive.
With the assistance of the state and central government, St. Francis Institute of Management and Research provides several scholarships based on students' merit and financial need. As per the government guidelines, candidates whose family’s annual income is no more than INR 8 Lakhs can avail the benefits of the scholarship. To avail the benefits, students will be required to produce an income certificate. The recipient will get a 50% tuition fee reduction.
