Shiv Nadar University Chennai provides an integrated academic ecosystem across Engineering, Commerce and Management, Science and Humanities and Law. Undergraduate courses offered by the School of Commerce & Management include B.Com in General and Professional Accounting, and postgraduate courses include the MBA. These programs include accounting, finance, business strategy and leadership and equip students with corporate and entrepreneurial positions. At the School of Science & Humanities students are able to take up specialised courses such as B.Sc. Economics (Data Science), which is an integration of economics and advanced analytics. This equips graduates with policy, finance and data driven professions and promotes interdisciplinary education and critical thinking.
The School of Law provides a 5 year B.A. LL.B. (Honours) degree course, which combines law with liberal arts, preparing students to practice law, corporate law and public policy. Shiv Nadar University UG courses with Fee Structure
Shiv Nadar University Chennai provides undergraduate courses in engineering, commerce, management, humanities and law the fees of which differ according to the course and the category of student. In the case of B.Tech courses in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Cyber Security, IoT and Electronics, the annual tuition fee is INR 350000 to Indian students, INR 525000 to NRI students and INR 700000 to foreign/OCI/PIO students.
Other engineering streams, such as Biomedical, Chemical, Civil and Mechanical are a bit lower with INR 300000, INR 450000 and INR 600000 being the figures of Indian students, NRI students and foreign students respectively. Economics and commerce courses such as B.Com and B.Sc. Economics (Data Science) has the same format as the latter engineering courses.

Shiv Nadar University Chennai offers M.Tech in fields like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, Energy Systems, Environmental Science and Technology, Information Technology, Medical Electronics, Power Electronics and Drives, VLSI design and wireless communication technology. These 2 year programs are integrated with high-level technical knowledge and industry oriented training with project work in collaboration with industries in the second year.
The eligibility requires the candidates to possess a B.E./B.Tech degree (or any other four-year degree) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Final year students can also apply as long as they attain the necessary marks. The process of admission is a two-step process that includes an entrance examination and a personal interview. Applicants who have valid GATE scores can receive scholarships.
The tuition fee is paid yearly, and it is increased by 5% every year. Students have the option of residential and non residential and hostel facilities are given preference to non Chennai students. Other expenses are hostel and transport expenses.

Shiv Nadar University Chennai is a university that provides PhD programs in engineering, commerce, management, science and humanities which are aimed at bringing in talented researchers who are passionate about interdisciplinary inquiry. The university offers full time, part time and direct PhD programs which offer flexibility to students, working professionals and industry researchers. General eligibility involves the applicants having completed their postgraduate degree in a related field by studying full time.
Outstanding bachelor's degree students can also seek a direct PhD in some fields. Those who have national-level fellowships, AICTE sponsorships or industry sponsorships are also eligible. Foreigners can do this via government exchange programs. The admission process includes online application, departmental screening, computer based entrance examination (2 hours) and personal interview. It is selected on the basis of entrance exam scores, postgraduate marks, research proposals and interview performance. The communication of call letters and admission offers is done through email.
The PhD program normally takes a period of 3 to 5 years, depending on the mode of study and the research development. Hostel accommodation is offered free of charge, and married scholars can access campus accommodation at a nominal charge.
