Shiv Nadar University Chennai is a merit-based university that has program-based entrance examinations. In the case of Undergraduate programs the admission is mainly based on the SNUCEE exam which is an aptitude test and subject knowledge test. Aspirants in engineering are required to take Maths, Physics and Chemistry whereas applicants in commerce and economics are required to take Accountancy, Economics and General Studies. The test is held once a year in April and May. Also there are a few seats through JEE Main and direct interview calls are made to those candidates who have scored 90 percentile or above.
B.Com and B.Sc Economics can be directly admitted, but there is no management quota provided.
