SGT University Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate (UG) Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Undergraduate programs at SGT University, the candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination of a recognised board. The minimum marks required range between 50 to 65%, depending on the program and the stream. English ought to be a mandatory course in the majority of courses.

In B.Tech, one should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and have at least 65% marks. It is admitted on the basis of JEE Main 2025 or the internal entrance examination of the university.
In MBBS and BDS, the candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and should pass NEET UG 2025.

In the case of an MBA, one should have passed graduation with a minimum of 50 % marks in the relevant field. The criteria of admission are the scores in CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, or the entrance test of the university.
M.Tech needs a bachelor's degree in technology or an equivalent degree in a similar field and a valid GATE score or the SGT University test.
The candidates should possess a B.Pharm with the desired percentage and could be selected on merit or through an entrance exam.
In courses such as Psychology, Forensic Science, Biotechnology, etc, a course of relevant undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks is required to pursue M.Sc.
A relevant undergraduate background with at least 50% marks is also necessary in MPT, M.Sc Nursing, M.Ed, and MA programs. It can be selected based on merit or an exam at the university level.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

To get admission in Ph.D. programs, the applicants should possess a Master's degree in a related field from a recognised university with at least 55% marks. According to the UGC norms, there could be a 5% relaxation in marks among SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.

The Ph.D. program admission consists of a written entrance test in addition to a personal interview to test the research potential and knowledge of the subject of the candidate.
