RV College of Engineering offers courses such as BE, MCA, M.Tech, and PhD programs. These courses also offer various specialisations, such as Aerospace Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, and more in the BE course. Whereas, in the M.Tech course, students get to learn different specialisations such as Biotechnology, Structural Engineering, Power Electronics, Highway Technology, and more. For BE Programs
General category candidates should have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics and Chemistry, plus optional subjects like Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics as optional subjects. Additionally, students should have studied English as one of the languages.
Reserved candidates need a minimum of 40% marks in Physics and Chemistry, and the optional subjects mentioned above. Additionally, the admissions are also done through KEA, COMEDK, or Management Quota.
For 2nd Year BE Lateral Entry admission, one should have passed a Diploma examination or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks in all subjects.
For The MCA Program
Candidates who have completed their BCA or have a BSc, B.Com, or BA degree can apply for the MCA course with Maths at class 12th or graduation level. If a candidate doesn’t have a Mathematics background and must pass the bridge course as prescribed by the University. Students should have scored a minimum of 50% marks across all subjects, whereas the reserved category requires 45% marks.
For the PhD programs
Applicants who want to pursue the PhD programs at RV College of Engineering should have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with the required percentage or CGPA as per the guidelines prescribed by VTU. They also need to have cleared the VTU Entrance exam for PhD. Those students who work in research organisations can apply under the part-time research category.
