The National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam Amingaon Guwahati Assam offers a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in law for individuals wishing to undertake an independent study and research of legal topics. The tuition fees for the PhD program for the 2025 academic year include several components. There is a one-time registration fee of INR 20,000 and a one-time admission fee of INR 10,000. Students must also pay an annual fee for campus development of INR 10,000. The internet fees differ depending on the type of scholar. A full-time day scholar must pay INR 6,000 a year, and a part-time day scholar must pay INR 3,000. There is also an annual library fee of INR 8,000.
In addition to the normal tuition fees, a candidate must pay a thesis evaluation fee of INR 20,000 at the time of submitting the thesis.
