NLU Delhi Admission Important Dates

For the 2025 academic year National Law University Delhi is offering a variety of programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PhD, and online modes. Each course comes with specific eligibility criteria students can check the details below.

• BA LLB (Hons): To be eligible for admission students must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks. Admission is based on performance in the AILET entrance examination.

• LLM: Candidates should have an LLB or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Selection will be through the AILET exam conducted by NLU Delhi.

• Postgraduate Diploma: Applicants must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized institution to be considered for admission.

• PhD: For admission to the Ph.D. program candidates should hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Additionally, they are required to qualify the AIET entrance test.

Note: Some programs may include counselling and interviews after the entrance exam.

NLU Delhi BA LLB Admission 2025

NLU Delhi offers a BA LLB program for students who want to study law. To get admission in this course students must clear the NLU Delhi entrance exam (AILET). The admission process for the entrance exam has already started and the last date to apply is 10 November 2025. The entrance exam fee is INR 3,000 for General, OBC, EWS, and Foreign Nationals. For SC, ST, and PWD candidates the fee is INR 1,000.

For this course, students must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% marks to be eligible for admission. The annual tuition fee for the BA LLB program is INR 1,56,000. 

NLU Delhi LLM Admission 2025 

The university has an LLM program for students who want to study law at a higher level. To get admission in this course students must have an LLB or an equivalent degree with at least 50% marks. Admission is based on the AILET entrance exam. Candidates must qualify for this exam to get admission. The last date to apply for AILET 2026 is 10 November 2025.

The exam fee is INR 3,000 for General, OBC, EWS, Foreign Nationals, and Kashmiri Migrants. For SC/ST and PwD candidates, the fee is INR 1,000. SC/ST and women candidates who are below the poverty line do not have to pay any fee.

The annual tuition fee for the regular LLM course is INR 1,56,000. For the LLM in Intellectual Property Law, the annual tuition fee is INR 4,15,595.

NLU Delhi PG Diploma Admission 2025

National Law University New Delhi offers several PG Diploma courses for students who wish to expand their knowledge in law and related fields. The courses include PG Diploma in Urban Environmental Management and Law, PG Diploma in Tourism and Environmental Laws (PGDTEL) and PG Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy (PGDELP). These programs help students understand the connection between law, environment, and development.

NLU Delhi PhD Admission 2025

It also offers a PhD program in both full-time and part-time modes. To apply, candidates must have a master’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university. Candidates need to qualify either the UGC-JRF or the AILET entrance exam. The annual fee for the full-time PhD course is INR 50,000, while for the part-time course, it is INR 1,50,000.
