NIT Goa provides its flagship four-year B.Tech program in different specialisations. The admission in the B.Tech course is based on the past year's academic marks scored, along with a valid score in the JEE Main examinations, followed by JoSAA and CSAB counselling.
For B.Tech admission, candidates must fill out the application form of JEE Main, which will start tentatively from October 2025, and the last date to apply is November 2025 (Tentative). JEE Main application forms are released in two sessions. A candidate with a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 from a recognised board can fill out the application form. For M.Tech admission, students must have a valid score in the GATE.

For admission in the flagship B.Tech course at NIT Goa, students must have the following minimum criteria:
Students must pass class 12 with at least 75% (65% for the reserved) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects from a recognised Board.
Students must have qualifying marks in the JEE Main examination.
Indian students must go through the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process.
Foreign students are required to go through the DASA Scheme for the admission process.
For M.Tech admission, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Students must have a Bachelor's degree in technology or B.E. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
Students must have a qualifying and valid score card in the GATE examinations.
Non-GATE students must undergo a written test and an interview for admission in vacant seats.
NIT Goa offers a four-year full-time B.Tech course for the academic session. Students must pass 10+2 with 75% from a recognised Board and must have a valid score card and rank in the JEE Main examination to secure admission at NIT Goa. The total B.Tech course fee at NIT Goa is INR 5,60,000 for the full session. The semester-wise fees have different figures, which have to be submitted by the students. Admissions to the B.Tech program are offered based on the JEE Main rank and through the counselling process.
NIT Goa offers postgraduate programmes in different departments such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The M.Tech course fees at NIT Goa for the first semester are INR 56,500 and INR 36,000 for the second semester.
The admission to the M.Tech course at NIT Goa is based on the marks obtained in the GATE examinations. Candidates who want to get admission in the M.Tech course at NIT Goa must have a valid score card and qualifying marks in the GATE examinations. The admission and seat allocation are based on the CCMT counselling process. Students have to register themselves in the CCMT counselling after qualifying for the GATE examination.
NIT Goa offers doctoral degrees in various programs such as CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, etc. The Institute provides full-time, part-time, self-financed and sponsored PhD courses in different departments. The students who want to apply for PhD admission in NIT Goa must have a Master's degree, like M.Tech/M.E./M.Sc in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
Admission to the PhD course is based on overall academic performance, the marks obtained in written exams and the marks obtained in the interview. The PhD semester fees at NIT Goa range between INR 8,500 to INR 17,500, from the second semester to the tenth semester. The students have to pay INR 31,500 in the first semester, which includes one-time fees deposit, Library fees, Thesis fees and other charges.
The registration start date for admission in the PhD course at NIT Goa is October 6, 2025, and the last date to apply online is 12 November 2025. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test between 6 and 10 December 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of the NIT Goa.
The application process at NIT Goa is easy and accessible to all candidates applying for the UG and PG programs. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the B.Tech and M.Tech programs. The total application fee is INR 1500.
Step 1: Register and participate in the JEE Main examination. Securing the highest rank and marks is mandatory for admission to NIT Goa.
Step 2: After the declaration of JEE Main results, register in the JoSSA or CSAB counselling process. Upload the academic details and personal information during the JoSSB or CSAB counselling.

Step 6: After the final round of counselling, candidates must report physically to the campus for the Document Verification.
Step 7: Foreign students must undergo the DASA Scheme via the JEE Main examination.
