Students of NIFT Mumbai have been provided with a thorough understanding and initial exposure to market challenges, developments, techniques, technology and practice from all over the world. During the program at NIFT Navi Mumbai, the students naturally go into a kind of situation that unwraps their undefined potential, develops creative skills and stimulates intuitional growth. Their hidden potential is extracted by faculties committed to drawing from academia and industry. We are aware of the fact that the fashion industry wants professionals having multi-skill sets, and we have trained our students accordingly. Graduates of design programs get the highest package of INR 600,000 LPA, and the average package goes near about INR 240,000 LPA.
Students are employed and placed with three recruitment routes from the NIFT Navi Mumbai, which are facilitated by the institute:
On-Campus Placements: Many companies are invited to NIFT Mumbai placements. On-campus placement is for all the last semester students of the NIFT Navi Mumbai campus. Upon being given a confirmed time and date, the companies participate in the campus placement procedure.
Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) Companies have the option to extend preplacement offers (PPOs) to students prior to on-campus recruitment, effectively granting them a job offer. Such offers are typically based on the student’s performance during internships, training sessions, or projects completed at the company. To ensure equal opportunities for all students, companies should notify NIFT of any PPOs by submitting the necessary information in the CMS, using the link given to the industry mentor by NIFT. The decision to grant a PPO is thoroughly discussed with the students involved. To provide equal and fair opportunity to students who receive PPO are not allowed to participate in the on-campus placements.
Off-Campus Placements: Upon completion of on-campus placements, the institute continues to provide opportunities in design and fashion for its graduates and postgraduate passed-out students through off-campus placement drives, where companies that have not participated in campus placements raise workforce requirements through the alumni community units. Placement opportunities in NIFT Navi Mumbai are on an upward scale with greater foreign opportunities in design and textile industries and also a greater number of PPOs and higher salary packages. The whole structure of NIFT Navi Mumbai is based on a newly designed curriculum, which has been implemented in new areas, including adaptive technologies and higher industry expectations.

The placement for this current 2025 session at NIFT Navi Mumbai is clearly ahead of the placements that took place in 2024. This year, NIFT Navi Mumbai saw vast placement drives from companies which are especially from the e-commerce background, such as Nykaa, Flipkart and Myntra, coming to campus. The direct result was that students had more jobs in the current year, and the median salary package for NIFT Navi Mumbai was higher than last year.
Essentially, this shows that the value of an NIFT Navi Mumbai degree is growing stronger in the design and fashion industry. For students, it means they get direct exposure to better companies and more diversified roles in fashion and style segments, and also high-end salaries. So, while the 2024 season was fine, 2025 has set a new and more impressive benchmark for future batches.
